Privacy policy

• You can browse the feed without an account.
• If you sign in, we store your saved shows, listening progress and a few preferences so they follow you between devices.
• There are no ads, no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics and no tracking across other apps or websites.
• We don't sell or rent personal data to anyone.
• You can delete your account and everything tied to it from inside the app.

You can sign in one of two ways:

• Sign in with Apple. We store the stable user identifier Apple gives us and, if you choose to share it, your name, plus the sign-in token Apple issues so we can revoke it when you delete your account. We don't ask Apple for your email address.
• Sign in with Spotify. We store your Spotify user ID, your Spotify display name and the access tokens Spotify issues, so ONDAS can act for you within the permissions you granted. We use them to:
  • read your top artists once, to build the taste profile that ranks your feed;
  • import your recently played tracks (the latest 50, once a day), which help keep that ranking current;
  • save a track to your Spotify Liked Songs when you ask for it from a tracklist.

We never see or store a password. Sign-in happens on Apple's or Spotify's own screens.

• Your library: the shows you save, favorite, mark as listened or hide, plus a log of those actions that tunes your feed's ranking.
• Listening progress: where you are in each show you've started, so you can pick up on another device.
• Devices: a random device ID and the device's name (for example "Eric's iPhone"), along with what's playing on it, so one device can hand playback to another and show you "Playing on…".
• Source preferences: which selectors you follow or mute.
• Taste profile: the genre weights derived from your Spotify listening, if you signed in with Spotify. Taste choices you make in the app or on the site (genres, eras, moods, selectors) are stored with your account and deleted with it.
• Identified tracks: if you use the Shazam feature, the artist and title of each track identified, which show it was playing in and where, and whether it was saved to Spotify.
• Mixcloud connection: if you link your Mixcloud account, its access token, used only to keep your Mixcloud favorites in sync with ONDAS.

Your browser or app also keeps a few things on the device itself: your sign-in session, your play queue, a local copy of your progress, the device ID and display preferences such as filter settings. The website sets only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in and to complete sign-in securely.

• No advertising, and no advertising or analytics SDKs in the app or on the site.
• No tracking you across other companies' apps or websites.
• No selling, renting or sharing your data for marketing.
• No hosting, downloading or recording audio. Shows play from their original home.

• Vercel hosts the website and the app's server. Like any web host, it processes request data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against abuse.
• Neon hosts the Postgres database where the data above is stored.
• Anthropic's API tags shows with genre, decade and mood from public show information (title, selector, the platform's genre tags and length). Nothing about you, and nothing from your Spotify account, is ever sent to it.
• Apple and Spotify handle sign-in, and Mixcloud handles favorites sync if you link it, each under its own privacy policy.

Shows play through the official players of the platforms that host them, such as Mixcloud, SoundCloud and NTS, or directly from a podcast's own feed. Those players are provided by those companies, are governed by their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies or collect information when you press play. ONDAS doesn't control or receive that information.

In the app, scroll to the bottom of the feed (or open Sources) and tap Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and everything tied to it (library, feedback, progress, devices, preferences, taste profile, identified tracks and any Spotify or Mixcloud tokens) immediately. It can't be undone.

If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes ONDAS's Sign in with Apple access. You can also email hello@ondas.com.mx from anywhere and we'll delete it for you. You can remove ONDAS yourself from your Apple ID's "Sign in with Apple" settings or from your Spotify account's apps page.

We keep your data while your account exists and delete it when you delete your account. Shows and show information in the public feed aren't personal data and stay in the catalog.

ONDAS isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from them.
